Away: London Concept Store

JUSTSO provided Retail Merchandising Services for the brand Away.

For the well-travelled client, luggage needs to be convenient. So when Jen Rubio and Steph Korey, decided to break into the luxury luggage market with a direct-to-consumer product – it wasn’t long before the brand exploded. In less then a year, new territories were on the horizon following the success at their New York concept store.

No bad trips; no off-season – that’s the mantra of Away. A suitcase that considers the lifestyle of the client from USB charging ports, to a removable laundry bag. It’s no wonder the product has already seen endorsement from household names, such as Vogue.

London, was the next destination for Away. JUSTSO were enlisted to provide their Retail Merchandising Services and envisage the concept store on our very own doorstep of Shoreditch. A 3-month journey, beginning with Morocco, we set to work in collaboration with Campbell-Rey, close friends of Away, to envisage Arabic print inspired geometric patterns and moss-covered living walls.

It was a truly enthralling project, to be working with an emerging brand as they explored new markets. We spoke of roaming retail earlier in the year, and how these steps are almost necessary for new brands.

We look forward to the onward journey with Away and onto the next destination.
