Harrods: Christmas Windows 2015

‘Twas the night before Christmas, when all through Harrods
Not a creature was stirring, apart from the mice.
The ornaments were hung in the windows with care,
In hopes that Peter Pumpernickel would soon be there.

Christmas has arrived at Harrods this year with pantomime and Venetian puppet shows inspiring the harlequin print which can be seen throughout the entire store. The very same harlequin design has been continued through the twelve scenes set in the Brompton Road windows, which act as the jewel in the crown of the festivities.

JUSTSO, worked in collaboration with the store image team at Harrods for the ninth year consecutively to inspire, design and realise the most prestigious window display design of their campaign. The window display design portrays a theme of various theatre and entertainment that surround the Christmas season. Each window display design has been framed with red velvet curtains and raised by 90 cm in order to incorporate a theatrical stage. The extra height allowed Harrods to dress an under stage scene, in order to engage children with the windows at their own eye-level.

Trapeze artists, ballerinas, puppets are beautifully showcased in the windows helping to evoke the excitement associated with the build up to Christmas. Incorporating movement and animatronics into all of the windows added to the sense of magic that surrounds Harrods during the Christmas period.
Brands that participated this year were as follows:

Stella McCartney, Burberry, Billionaire Boys Club, Balenciaga, Escada, Bottega Veneta, Ugg Australia, Jo Malone, Alice and Olivia, Christian Louboutin, Harrods Foodhall featuring. Rosalind Miller and finally Harrods Signature.
